    From the center of Greer, walk to the nearest bus stop on Main St. Take the 6A bus towards Spartanburg. Get off at the stop on S. Pine St. and E. Main St. Transfer to the 6C bus heading towards Cedar Mountain. Ride this bus until you reach the Staton Rd. stop. From there, it is a short walk to DuPont State Recreational Forest.

    Start from downtown Greer and head northwest on E Poinsett St toward S Main St. Continue straight to merge onto SC-14 N. Follow SC-14 N for about 10 miles until you reach Cedar Mountain. Turn left onto Staton Rd and follow the road to the entrance of DuPont State Recreational Forest.

  • Walking

    Begin at the Greer City Park. Head south on S Main St until you reach the intersection with W Poinsett St. Turn left onto W Poinsett St and continue walking. Keep straight until you reach SC-14 N. You will need to walk approximately 10 miles along SC-14 N, which may take around 3-4 hours. Once you reach Cedar Mountain, turn left onto Staton Rd to find the entrance to DuPont State Recreational Forest.
