Getting There

• Bus

  From your location in Hilton Head Island, head to the nearest bus stop. You will want to catch the Palmetto Breeze bus heading towards Savannah. Make sure to check the schedule for the bus routes that connect Hilton Head to Savannah. The ride will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arrival at the bus station in Savannah, exit the bus and head towards the historic district, which is about a 15-minute walk.

• Bike

  If you have access to a bike, you can take the bike path that leads out of Hilton Head Island towards the mainland. Follow the bike lane along William Hilton Parkway until you reach the bridge. Once across the bridge, you can continue biking towards Savannah, which is about 20 miles away. The ride will take approximately 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Once in Savannah, you can navigate to Chippewa Square in the historic district.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  You can call a taxi or use a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft to get to Chippewa Square. Simply input 'Chippewa Square, Savannah, GA' as your destination. The drive from Hilton Head Island to Savannah will take around 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on traffic conditions. When you arrive, you will be dropped off right at the square.
