Your Itinerary

The Olde Pink House

Your first stop will be the Olde Pink House, built by James Habersham Jr. in 1789. For years, professional and amateur ghost hunters have reported seeing everything from ghostly orbs to poltergeist activity here. There have even been reports of ghostly apparitions. Note: This 8+ mile-long tour covers the essentials of Savannah in 2-3 hours.

Reynolds Square

Next up is the site of the Pulaski Hotel, once the go-to spot for lavish Savannah parties. The hotel was torn down in 1957 to make way for more modern buildings, but people say some guests never left... Keep your eyes and ears open for signs of little Gracie, who still lingers here to this day.

Moon River Brewing Company

After that is the Moon River Brewing Company, rumored to be one of the most haunted spots in all of Savannah. This was once a hotel deating back to 1821, and like any old hotel it has plenty of history. As the site of a shocking murder, there's a good reason this building has attracted countless ghost hunters over the years, including a Travel Channel TV crew.

John P. Rousakis Riverfront Plaza

Your route takes you next along Savannah's beautiful riverfront, lined with shops, restaurants, and plenty of supernatural sightings. Paranormal investigators have witnessed glowing orbs, poltergeist activity, and more in the shops lining the waterfront. One shop has even reported a regular spectral guest who trips their alarm but never shows up on camera!

The Shrimp Factory

Continuing along the riverfront, you'll come to the Shrimp Factory, a restauraunt just as famous for its seafood as it is for its ghostly occurrences. The center of the paranormal activity is an upstairs storage room, where employees regularly hear strange noises when no human is inside. Some attribute the disturbances to the restless spirits of enslaved people who were chained to the walls of the room.

The Hampton Lillibridge House

Then there's the most haunted house in Savannah, the Hampton-Lillibridge House. Built-in 1796 by an architectural firm from Rhode Island, it is a seemingly cursed abode. A sailor is said to have hanged himself here, a worker doing renovations died mysteriously, and many locals simply refuse to go near the place. Is it really cursed? Is it just superstition? No one knows for sure.

The Marshall House, Historic Inns of Savannah

Next along your route is the Marshall House, which became an impromptu Union hospital during the Civil War. The grim work performed during that time lingered long after the war ended. During renovations in 1990s, workers discovered human remains inside the building. But it's not just physical remains that were left behind. Visitors have long reported all manner of unexplained happenings, including seeing wounded Civil War soldiers walking the halls.

Chippewa Square

Continuing along your route, you'll reach Wright Square. This pleasant public square hides a dark past. It is here where some convicts were hanged to death, including a pair of young lovers accused of killing their abusive master. Some say their spirits still wander the square to this day.

Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace Museum

Up next is the birthplace of Juliette Gordon Low, founder of the Girl Scouts of America. While the house holds more historical than supernatural importance, it isn't devoid of ghost stories--including one which involves Juliette's own mother!

Colonial Park Cemetery

No ghost tour is complete without a stop at a cemetery, so Colonial Park Cemetery is next on the route. Established in 1750 as the final resting place for many of Savannah’s earliest citizens, this cemetery holds about 10,000 bodies. Of those, only around 600 graves are actually marked. That makes for quite a lot of restless spirits!

Mercer Williams House Museum

Then there's the Mercer-Williams House, one of Savannah's more recently haunted properties. In 1981, this was the site of a shocking murder which was made famous by the novel Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Jim Williams, the murderer, was acquitted of the crime, and ever since this house has been the site of many unnatural occurrences.

Savannah

Finally, you'll arrive at the Roundhouse Railroad Museum. As the site of climactic battles throughout history, Savannah is home to plenty of war-related spirits, and the railyard is one of the most active sites for such activity. Visitors report seeing, among another thing, a man in a cavalry jacket who seems to disappear after meeting their eyes.

301 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd

Welcome to the Savannah Visitors Center, where we invite you to step back in time and immerse yourself in the rich history of this beautiful city. As we explore the cobblestone streets and antebellum architecture, we will journey through the past to uncover the stories and struggles of the people who shaped Savannah into the vibrant city it is today.

First African Baptist Church

During your visit to the First African Baptist Church, you will have the unique opportunity to learn about the rich history and culture of the African American community in Savannah and its contribution to the broader American story.

Johnson Square

Firstly, you will see the beautiful and iconic statue of James Oglethorpe, the founder of Savannah. Oglethorpe was a British general and philanthropist who founded the colony of Georgia in 1733. You will also see several historic buildings surrounding the square, including the Christ Church Episcopal, which was built in the 18th century and is one of the oldest churches in Savannah.

Wright Square

Firstly, you will see the beautiful and iconic statue of William Washington Gordon, the founder of the Central of Georgia Railway. You will also see several historic buildings surrounding the square, including the famous Mercer-Williams House, which was once the home of the acclaimed writer and Savannah native, John Berendt. The house has a fascinating history and is known for its beautiful architecture and elegant furnishings.

Owens-Thomas House & Slave Quarters

Certainly! The Owens-Thomas House & Slave Quarters is a historic museum. During our visit, you will have the opportunity to admire the stunning architecture of the Owens-Thomas House, and learn about the fascinating history of the families who lived there.

The Independent Presbyterian Church of Savannah

Another impressive structure is the Independent Presbyterian Church, which boasts a magnificent Greek Revival facade and an interesting history dating back to the Civil War era. As you stroll through the square, you'll discover many other architectural gems that add to the area's unique character and charm.

Historic Savannah Theatre

One of the most notable buildings is the Savannah Theatre, which dates back to 1818 and is one of the oldest continuously operating theatres in the United States.
