From central Myrtle Beach, start by boarding the Coast RTA bus at the nearest bus stop. Look for the bus line that travels north towards North Myrtle Beach. You may need to transfer buses at the Coastal Grand Mall to the Route 15 or 16, which heads towards North Myrtle Beach. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop closest to Heritage Shores Nature Preserve, which is on Heritage Drive. The total trip may take around 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on traffic and wait times.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the many bike rental shops in Myrtle Beach. Start your journey heading north on Highway 17. Use the bike lanes when available. As you approach North Myrtle Beach, make a left onto 5611 Heritage Drive. The nature preserve will be on your right. The bike ride will take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace and the route you choose.

Walking
Walking to Heritage Shores Nature Preserve from central Myrtle Beach is quite a trek, but doable for the adventurous. Begin your walk on Ocean Blvd heading north. Continue on until you reach 2nd Ave N, then take a left. Follow this street until you reach Highway 17 North. Cross over to the other side of the highway and keep walking north until you reach Heritage Drive. Take a right on Heritage Drive, and the nature preserve will be on your right. This walk could take approximately 3 to 4 hours, so be sure to stay hydrated and wear comfortable shoes.
