From the Angostura Recreation Area, head northwest on SD-79 N. Drive for approximately 8 miles until you reach the junction with US-18 E. Turn left onto US-18 E and continue for about 7 miles. You will see signs for the Badlands National Park. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Big Badlands Overlook, which is located within the park. The overlook is about 4 miles from the entrance of Badlands National Park. There is no entrance fee for the overlook, but if you are entering the park, there may be a fee of $30 per vehicle for a 7-day pass.
