From Angostura Recreation Area, head east on SD-34 E for approximately 20 miles until you reach the intersection with US-385 N. Turn left onto US-385 N and continue for about 14 miles until you reach the junction with I-90 E. Merge onto I-90 E and drive for approximately 40 miles. Take exit 401 for US-281 N toward Huron. After about 3 miles, turn right onto SD-34 E again and continue for about 30 miles. Then, take a left onto Flood Club Rd. The Lake Thompson Recreation Area will be on your left at 21176 Flood Club Rd, Lake Preston, SD 57249.
