Getting There

Car
To reach Platte Creek State Recreation Area from Angostura Recreation Area by car, start by heading northwest on Angostura Road towards US-385. Turn right onto US-385 N and drive for approximately 0.5 miles. Merge onto SD-79 N and continue for about 8 miles until you reach the junction with US-18. Turn right onto US-18 E and follow it for around 20 miles until you reach SD-34. Take a left onto SD-34 E and continue for approximately 15 miles until you reach the town of Platte. Once in Platte, follow signs to the Platte Creek State Recreation Area, which is located just outside the town. Please note that park entry fees may apply, so have cash or a card ready for payment.
