If you are driving from the Badlands National Park Visitor Center, head west on SD-240 for about 15 miles until you reach the junction with SD-87. Turn left onto SD-87 and continue for approximately 7 miles. You will find the Needles Eye Tunnel located at Mile Post 31 on SD-87. There is a small parking area near the tunnel where you can stop and take photos.

Currently, there are limited public transportation options directly to the Needles Eye Tunnel. However, you can take a shuttle or tour bus from Rapid City to Badlands National Park.
