Car
From the main entrance of Big Sioux Recreation Area, head west on SD-34 W. Continue for approximately 30 miles until you reach the junction with US-385 N. Turn left onto US-385 N and follow it for about 10 miles. Take a right turn onto SD-240 W, which will lead you into Badlands National Park. Continue on SD-240 W for about 5 miles until you see the sign for Big Badlands Overlook. There is no entry fee for the overlook itself, but there may be a park entrance fee depending on your route.
