Driving
From Big Sioux Recreation Area, get onto SD-115 N. Continue on SD-115 N for approximately 10 miles. Merge onto I-90 W toward Sioux Falls. After about 15 miles, take exit 402 for SD-11 S toward Sioux Falls. Continue on SD-11 S for about 5 miles, then turn left onto 466th Ave. Wild Water West Waterpark will be on your right at 26767 466th Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57106. There may be a parking fee, so have some cash or a card ready for that.

If you are using public transportation, start by taking the Sioux Falls Transit bus from the nearest stop in the Big Sioux Recreation Area to the Sioux Falls city bus terminal. Once at the terminal, transfer to the bus route that services the area around 466th Ave. Note that schedules may vary and it’s advisable to check the Sioux Falls Transit website for the latest timetable. Expect to walk a short distance from the bus stop to Wild Water West Waterpark, which is about a 10-minute walk.

For those who enjoy walking or biking, you can take the gravel paths from Big Sioux Recreation Area that lead toward Sioux Falls. This route will take you along the river, providing a scenic view. Follow the paths until you reach 466th Ave. Once you reach the road, turn right and head south for about 1 mile until you reach the waterpark. Ensure you have appropriate gear for biking or walking, and check the weather beforehand.
