From Black Elk Peak, head south on SD-244 W for approximately 5 miles. At the intersection, turn left onto US-16A W. Continue on US-16A W for about 7 miles until you reach the junction with SD-87. Turn right onto SD-87 N. After about 2 miles, you will arrive at Needles Highway (23034 Peter Norbeck Scenic Byway, Hill City, SD 57745). Parking is available along the scenic drive, but please note that there may be a parking fee during peak seasons.
