From the center of Rapid City, take SD-44 W for approximately 30 miles. Merge onto US-16 W and continue for about 20 miles until you reach Keystone. As you enter Keystone, look for signs for SD-40. Turn left onto SD-40, and the entrance to Rushmore Cave will be on your left at 13622 SD-40. This drive will take about 50 minutes in total, depending on traffic.
