Car
From any location in Palisades State Park, get onto SD-11 N. Continue on SD-11 N for about 15 miles. Merge onto I-90 W towards Sioux Falls. Take exit 401 for SD-38 W towards Sioux Falls. Once you are in Sioux Falls, continue on SD-38 W, which turns into E 12th St. After about 2 miles, turn left onto S Lake Ave. Emerson Park will be on your left at 515 S Lake Ave. There is usually ample parking available at the park.

If you are relying on public transportation, the nearest bus service is available from Sioux Falls. You would need to take a taxi or rideshare service from Palisades State Park to downtown Sioux Falls. Once in downtown Sioux Falls, you can take the Sioux Area Metro bus #5 (East 12th St) which will get you close to Emerson Park. Disembark at the stop closest to S Lake Ave, then walk approximately 0.5 miles south to reach Emerson Park at 515 S Lake Ave.

If you enjoy cycling, you can bike from Palisades State Park to Emerson Park. Take the bike-friendly roads on SD-11 N, then connect to the bike paths in Sioux Falls. This route is approximately 15 miles and will take you through scenic areas. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay safe on the roads.
