Head south on E Capitol Ave towards S Dakota Ave. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with W Main St. Turn left onto W Main St and walk for about 0.2 miles until you reach the intersection with S Euclid Ave. Turn right onto S Euclid Ave and walk for about 0.3 miles. You will reach the Fort Pierre Bridge. Cross the bridge, enjoying the views of the Missouri River. Once you are on the other side, follow the signs towards Verendrye Dr. Continue straight on Verendrye Dr for about 1 mile. The Verendrye Monument will be on your right, a prominent historical landmark overlooking the river.
