Starting from the center of Pine Ridge, head east on SD-44 E (Main St) for about 30 miles until you reach the junction with US-83 N. Turn left onto US-83 N and continue for approximately 18 miles. You will then take the exit towards Fort Pierre. Follow the signs to Verendrye Drive, and continue straight until you see the Verendrye Monument on your right. The entire drive should take around 50 minutes depending on traffic.
