Start your journey at Busan Station (부산역), which is accessible via various subway lines. Take Line 1 (the orange line) towards Sinpyeong (신평). Transfer at Nampo Station (남포역) to Line 1 and take it to Seomyeon Station (서면역). At Seomyeon Station, transfer to Line 2 (the green line) and head towards Jangsan Station (장산역). Get off at Jangsan Station.

Upon exiting Jangsan Station, go to the bus stop and catch Bus 90 (90번) or Bus 203 (203번) towards Geumjeong-gu (금정구). The buses will take you closer to the foot of Geumjeongsanseong Fortress. Ask the bus driver to let you know when you reach the Geumjeongsanseong East Gate stop.

Once you get off the bus at the Geumjeongsanseong East Gate stop, walk towards the entrance of the fortress. Follow the signs indicating the path to the East Gate. The hiking trail is well-marked and it's a pleasant walk through nature. Be prepared for some uphill walking as you approach the fortress.
