Getting There

  • Subway

    Start at Gwangju Metro Station, which is located in the city center. Take Line 1 (the orange line) towards Suwan Station. After 4 stops, get off at Chonnam National University Station. Once you exit the station, take Exit 1 and walk straight for about 500 meters. You will reach the intersection of Chungjang-dong. Turn left onto Chungjang-ro and continue walking for about 300 meters. Gwangju Art Street will be on your right at 62-3 Chungjang-dong.

  • Bus

    If you prefer to take a bus, go to the nearest bus stop and catch Bus No. 18 or Bus No. 62. Both buses have stops that will take you to Chungjang-dong. After boarding, stay on the bus for approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the Chungjang-dong stop. From there, head straight down Chungjang-ro for about 200 meters, and you will see Gwangju Art Street on your left at 62-3 Chungjang-dong.

  • Walking

    If you are near the city center, you can walk to Gwangju Art Street. Locate the Gwangju City Hall and head south along the main road, which is called Chungjang-ro. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer. You will pass several shops and cafes. Gwangju Art Street will be on your left at 62-3 Chungjang-dong.
