Car
If you are driving from the center of Gyeongju, head east on Dongbu-ro toward the intersection with the Gyeongju-Yeongilman Road (Route 7). Follow signs for Pohang and merge onto Route 7. Continue on Route 7 for approximately 30 kilometers. Take the exit toward Heunghae-eup and then turn right onto Heunghae-ro. After about 5 kilometers, turn left onto Chilpo-ri Road. Daewonsa Temple will be on your left at 610 Chilpo-ri. Parking is available nearby, but be mindful of any signage indicating parking regulations.

To reach Daewonsa Temple using public transportation, first take a bus from Gyeongju Bus Terminal. Board a bus heading to Pohang (approximately 30 minutes). Once you arrive at Pohang Bus Terminal, transfer to bus number 100 or 200 which goes towards Heunghae-eup. Get off at the Chilpo-ri stop.
