Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Bomun Lake area, head towards the Bomun Tourist Complex. Look for signs pointing to the Gyeongju World Culture Expo Park. Once you reach the entrance of the park, continue walking straight until you reach the main road. Cross the road and take the path leading towards Cheongun-dong. Follow the path for about 1.5 km, and you will see Myeonghwalsanseong Fortress on your right. It is located on a small hill, and you may need to walk up a gentle slope to reach the fortress entrance.

  • Public Bus

    You can take Local Bus No. 10 or No. 11 from the Bomun-dong area. Board the bus at the nearest bus stop to your location. The fare is approximately 1,200 KRW. Inform the bus driver that you want to get off at the Cheongun-dong stop. Once you get off, walk straight for about 500 meters, and you will find the entrance to Myeonghwalsanseong Fortress. Make sure to check the bus schedule as buses may run less frequently in the evening.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the rental shops in the Bomun Lake area. After renting the bike, head towards the main road and cycle along the designated bike lanes toward Cheongun-dong. The ride is approximately 2 km and will take around 10-15 minutes. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Myeonghwalsanseong Fortress, located slightly off from the main road. There are bike racks available near the fortress for parking.
