If you're traveling by car, start by heading towards Hallasan National Park. From Jeju City, take Route 113 towards the south. After about 30 minutes, you will reach the entrance to Hallasan National Park. There are two main trails to the summit: the Seongpanak and Gwaneumsa trails. Park your car at the designated parking areas near the trailheads. Be aware that there is a parking fee of around 2,000 KRW.

Public Transportation
To reach Hallasan Mountain using public transportation, you can take a bus from Jeju City. Look for the bus number 780 or 781 that travels towards Hallasan National Park. The journey will take approximately 40-50 minutes. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you'll need to walk about 1 km to reach the trailhead. Check the bus schedule for return trips, as they may be limited, especially in the late afternoon.

After reaching the trailhead, you will need to hike to the summit of Hallasan Mountain. The hike can take anywhere from 4 to 8 hours depending on your pace and the trail you choose. The Seongpanak trail is the more popular and slightly easier option, while the Gwaneumsa trail is more challenging and offers beautiful views.
