For those using public transportation, take a bus from Daegu or Gyeongju to Sangju-si. Buses run frequently from both cities and the journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arrival at Sangju-si bus terminal, transfer to a local bus heading towards Nagak-san. The local bus may take about 30 minutes to reach the base of the mountain. Ensure you have some change for the bus fare, which is usually around 1,200 KRW. Once you arrive, the trailhead for Nagak-san will be a short walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can also hail a taxi from Sangju-si to Nagak-san. This option is more expensive, typically costing between 15,000 to 20,000 KRW, but it provides a comfortable and efficient way to reach the mountain directly. Just tell the driver 'Nagak-san' and they will know where to take you.
