Experience Mt. Dora Observatory

Getting There

  • Subway

    Start by making your way to the nearest subway station. If you're in downtown Seoul, you can take Line 1 (the Blue Line) from stations such as City Hall or Seoul Station. Ride the subway towards the direction of 'Seokgye' and get off at 'Gyeongbokgung Station'. Transfer to Line 3 (the Orange Line) at Gyeongbokgung Station and head towards 'Daehwa'. Get off at 'Daehwa Station'.

  • Bus

    Once you arrive at Daehwa Station, exit the station and look for Bus Stop 3. Here, you will take Bus 2200 towards 'Paju'. Stay on the bus for approximately 30-40 minutes. Keep an eye on the bus stops, and disembark at the stop named 'Dorasan Station'.

  • Walking

    After getting off at Dorasan Station, you will need to walk to Mt. Dora Observatory. Exit the station and head west on Dorasan-ro for about 1.5 kilometers. Follow the signs for the observatory, which should lead you through a scenic area. The walk will take approximately 20-25 minutes, and you will arrive at Mt. Dora Observatory.
