Getting There

  • Subway

    If you're starting from Suwon Station, take Line 1 (the dark blue line) towards Seoul. Ride for about 30 minutes and disembark at Jongno 3-ga Station. From Jongno 3-ga Station, transfer to Line 5 (the purple line) and take it for 2 stops until you reach the Anguk Station. Once you exit Anguk Station, take Exit 1. Walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach Changdeokgung Palace at 99 Yulgok-ro, Jongno District.

  • Bus

    From Suwon, go to Suwon Bus Terminal and take bus number 3000, which heads directly to Seoul. The ride will take approximately 1 hour. Get off at the Gwanghwamun Station. From there, you can walk towards the Changdeokgung Palace. Walk straight along Sejong-daero and turn left onto Yulgok-ro. Continue walking for about 15 minutes until you reach the entrance of Changdeokgung Palace.

  • Taxi

    If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Suwon to Changdeokgung Palace. Tell the driver to take you to '99 Yulgok-ro, Jongno District, Seoul'. The journey will take roughly 40 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to have the address written in Korean or shown on your phone to help the driver.
