Getting There

  • Subway

    From Seoul Station, take Line 1 (the Blue Line) towards Incheon. Get off at Jongno 3-ga Station (3 stops). Transfer to Line 5 (the Purple Line) and take the train towards Sangil-dong. Get off at Anguk Station (2 stops). Once at Anguk Station, take Exit 1. Walk straight for about 300 meters until you reach the entrance of Changdeokgung Palace. The Chinese Juniper Tree is located within the palace grounds.

    From Dongdaemun Design Plaza, take Bus 7212 from the Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Bus Stop. Ride for about 15 minutes and get off at the Changdeokgung Palace stop. After getting off, walk towards the Changdeokgung Palace entrance. The Chinese Juniper Tree can be found inside the palace grounds.

    If you are near Insadong, from the main street, walk south towards the entrance of Changdeokgung Palace. It’s about a 10-minute walk. The entrance to the palace will be on your right. Once inside, follow the signs to the main garden area where the Chinese Juniper Tree is located.

    If you prefer to take a taxi, simply tell the driver 'Changdeokgung' (창덕궁). The taxi will take you directly to the entrance of the palace. Once you arrive, you can enter the palace and find the Chinese Juniper Tree within the grounds.
