From Alicante city center, head to the main bus station, Estación de Autobuses de Alicante, located at Avenida de Salamanca, 1. Take the bus number 2 to the bus stop 'Plaza de los Luceros'. From there, transfer to bus number 8 towards Villena. After approximately 50 minutes, you will arrive at the Villena bus station. From the bus station, walk straight along Avenida de la Constitución until you reach Plaza de las Embajadas. Atalaya Castle will be visible on the hilltop.

Go to the Alicante Train Station (Estación de Tren de Alicante) located at Avenida de Salamanca, 1. Purchase a ticket for the train heading to Villena. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Villena station, exit and walk towards the center by following the signs to Plaza de las Embajadas. It will take approximately 15 minutes on foot to reach Atalaya Castle, which is situated on a hill overlooking the town.
