Walking
If you are starting from the Alicante Train Station (Estación de Renfe), exit the station and head towards the main road (Avenida de Salamanca). Turn left and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida de Alcoy. Turn right onto Avenida de Alcoy and walk for about 15 minutes. Continue straight until you reach Plaça de la Porta de la Mar, which will be on your left. Look for the large archway and the beautiful square.

Public Transport - Tram
From the Alicante city center, head to the nearest tram stop, which is Mercado. Take Line 1 (the blue line) towards Benidorm. Get off at the stop called 'Luceros'. From there, you can walk straight down Avenida de la Estación until you reach Plaça de la Porta de la Mar, which is about a 10-minute walk away.

Public Transport - Bus
If you are near the Plaza de los Luceros, you can catch the bus line C6 that goes directly to the beach area. Get off at the stop called 'Paseo de la Explanada'. From there, walk back along the Paseo de la Explanada towards the city center. At the end of the promenade, turn left onto Plaza de la Porta de la Mar, which will be right ahead.

Walking from the Beach
If you are at Playa del Postiguet, head up the steps from the beach to the main promenade (Explanada de España). Walk along the promenade, enjoying the palm trees and atmosphere. Continue until you reach the end of the promenade and turn left onto Avenida de la Estación. Plaça de la Porta de la Mar will be a short walk ahead on your right.
