Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the heart of Casco Antiguo, start by heading towards Plaza de la Virgen del Remedio, a central point in the neighborhood. From there, walk towards Calle de la Senda and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle San Francisco. Turn left onto Calle San Francisco. Continue walking straight, and you will eventually see the Basilica of St Mary of Alicante on your right as you approach Plaza Santa María. The entrance is located at Pl. Sta. María, 1, 03001 Alicante.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  For those who prefer public transport, you can catch a bus at one of the nearby stops in Casco Antiguo. Look for Bus Line 02 or 21, which stops at Plaza de San Cristóbal. Board the bus and get off at the next stop, which is Plaza de Santa María. From there, you will be directly in front of the Basilica. The cost of a single bus ticket is approximately €1.45.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you may opt to take a taxi. Taxis are readily available throughout Casco Antiguo. Simply hail one or use a ride-hailing app if you have it. Provide the driver with the address: Pl. Sta. María, 1, 03001 Alicante. The fare should be reasonable, usually around €5 to €10, depending on your starting point in Casco Antiguo.
