From the Almería city center, head to the central bus station, Estación de Autobuses de Almería, located at Avenida de la Estación. You can take Bus Line 20 or 21, which goes towards Las Negras or San José. Make sure to inform the bus driver that you want to get off at Parque Natural Cabo de Gata-Nijar. The journey typically takes about 30 to 40 minutes. Once you arrive, follow the signs to Cala del Plomo, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

If you're up for a bit of exercise, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Almería. Head east towards the coast along Avenida de la Estación and follow the bike path that leads towards Cabo de Gata. The distance is approximately 20 km and will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Make sure to keep an eye on the signs that direct you towards Parque Natural Cabo de Gata-Nijar. Upon arrival, follow the paths leading to Cala del Plomo.
