If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto the A-92 highway. Depending on where you are in Andalusia, you may need to navigate to the nearest entry point. If you are coming from Granada, take the A-92 towards Malaga, then take exit 180 towards Loja. Follow the signs to Loja, and once in the city, use your GPS or local maps to arrive at C. Boabdil, 8, where the Alcazaba de Loja is located. Parking is available nearby, but check local signs for any parking fees.
Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach Alcazaba de Loja by public transportation, take a bus from major cities like Granada or Malaga. From Granada, you can catch a bus from the Estación de Autobuses (Bus Station) to Loja. The journey typically takes about an hour. Once you arrive at the Loja bus station, you can either walk to Alcazaba de Loja, which is approximately a 20-minute walk, or take a local taxi for a short ride.

If you decide to walk from the Loja bus station to Alcazaba de Loja, exit the station and head southeast on Calle Almería. Continue straight until you reach Avenida de Andalucía, then turn left. Follow this road until you see signs directing you to C. Boabdil. The Alcazaba will be on your right. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the walk involves some uphill sections.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route upon arriving in Loja, you can take a taxi from the Loja bus station to Alcazaba de Loja. The taxi ride is typically around 5-10 minutes and should not cost more than €10. Ensure that you agree on the fare beforehand if the taxi does not have a meter.
