Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the city of Huesca, which is about 30 kilometers away from Loarre Castle. Take the A-132 road heading northeast. After approximately 20 kilometers, take the exit toward Loarre. Follow the signs for Loarre Castle, which will lead you directly to the castle. The drive takes about 30 minutes. There is parking available near the castle, but be sure to check for any parking fees.
Public Transportation
To reach Loarre Castle using public transportation, take a bus from Huesca to the nearby town of Loarre. Buses operate from the Huesca bus station, with departures several times a day. The journey takes around 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Loarre, you can either walk (about 30 minutes uphill) or take a taxi to the castle. Walking will give you a chance to enjoy the scenic views, but be prepared for a steep incline. Taxis are usually available at the bus stop, and the fare should be around 10-15 euros.
Walking
If you are in Loarre and prefer to walk to the castle, start from the town center. Head towards Calle Mayor, continue straight until you reach the sign for Castillo de Loarre. The walking path is well-marked and takes you through beautiful landscapes, approximately 3 kilometers uphill to the castle. This hike will take you about 30-40 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
