From the center of Ávila, head to the Ávila Bus Station (Estación de Autobuses de Ávila), which is located at Calle de José Antonio, 2. You can either walk or take a local taxi to reach there. Once at the bus station, purchase a ticket for the bus to El Escorial. The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours. The bus will drop you off near the main entrance of El Escorial. Train
Walk to the Ávila Train Station (Estación de Tren de Ávila), located at Calle de la Estación, 2. From there, take a train towards Madrid, and get off at the San Lorenzo de El Escorial station. The journey will take about 1 hour. After you arrive at San Lorenzo de El Escorial, it’s a short walk (approximately 15 minutes) to the entrance of El Escorial. Follow the signs to the town center, and you’ll find directions leading to the monument.
