Public Bus
From the center of Ávila, head to the Ávila bus station (Estación de Autobuses de Ávila). Once at the bus station, look for buses that head towards San Lorenzo de El Escorial. The journey will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedules for the latest times. Upon arrival at the San Lorenzo de El Escorial bus station, exit the station and follow the signs towards the main road (Carretera de Guadarrama). Finca de Cuelgamuros is about a 20-minute walk from the bus station. Head east on Carretera de Guadarrama, and you will see the Finca de Cuelgamuros on your left.
Train
From Ávila, go to the Ávila train station (Estación de Tren de Ávila). Take a train towards Madrid and get off at the San Lorenzo de El Escorial station. The train ride usually takes around 1 hour. Once you arrive at San Lorenzo de El Escorial station, exit the station and turn right onto Calle de Juan de Toledo. Walk straight until you reach the main road (Carretera de Guadarrama). Turn left on Carretera de Guadarrama and walk for about 25 minutes until you see the Finca de Cuelgamuros on your left.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Ávila to Finca de Cuelgamuros. You can hail a taxi from the street or call a local taxi service. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to provide the driver with the address: Carretera de Guadarrama/El Escorial, 28209 San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Madrid.
