From Badajoz city center, head to the main bus station, Estación de Autobuses de Badajoz. You can walk there from Plaza Alta in about 15 minutes. Once at the bus station, purchase a ticket to Elvas. Buses to Elvas are operated by different companies, so check the schedules for departure times. The journey to Elvas takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Upon arrival at the Elvas bus station, exit and walk straight along Avenida da Liberdade. Continue until you reach R. da Parada do Castelo, where Elvas Castle is located.

Take a train from Badajoz Railway Station (Estación de Trenes de Badajoz) to Elvas. The station is about a 20-minute walk from Plaza Alta. Head north on R. de Santos, then take a left onto Avenida da Liberdade. Walk straight until you reach R. da Parada do Castelo, where Elvas Castle is located.
