Walking
If you are starting from the Badajoz city center (Plaza Alta), head southwest towards Calle de la Soledad. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle de José María de la Cuadra. Turn right onto Calle de José María de la Cuadra and walk until you reach the roundabout at Plaza de la Libertad. From there, take the first exit onto Avenida de Elvas. Continue walking straight until you reach the entrance to Paseo del río, which is located along the banks of the river.
Public Transport
From the Badajoz Bus Station, take Bus Line 1 towards 'Los Pocitos'. Get off at the stop 'Calle de Elvas'. From there, walk straight along Avenida de Elvas. You will soon see the entrance to Paseo del río along the riverbank. It’s a pleasant walk with plenty of views.
Bicycle
If you are renting a bicycle, start from the city center near Plaza Alta. Head southwest towards Calle de la Soledad, then follow the cycling paths along Avenida de Elvas. Keep following the signs for the riverside paths until you reach Paseo del río, where you can enjoy a scenic ride along the river.
