Walking
If you are in the center of Badajoz, start at Plaza de España. From the plaza, head southwest on Avenida de Colón toward Calle José María Alcaraz. Continue straight onto Avenida de Elvas. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will reach the roundabout at the end of Avenida de Elvas. Take the second exit onto Avenida de Portugal, and you will see Puente Real ahead. Cross the pedestrian bridge to reach the other side.
Public Transport
From Badajoz's main bus station, take Bus Line 3 towards 'Estación de Autobuses'. Alight at the stop 'Av. de Elvas'. From there, continue walking straight along Avenida de Elvas for about 10 minutes. You will see Puente Real ahead as you approach the river.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local rental service. Start at Plaza de España and head southwest on Avenida de Colón. Turn onto Avenida de Elvas, and continue for about 1 kilometer. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenida de Portugal. Follow the road until you see Puente Real. There are bike racks available near the bridge.
