Getting There

Metro
To reach Plaça de la Mercè, take the Metro Line 3 (Green Line) to the 'Liceu' station. Once you exit the station, walk towards La Rambla and head southeast. Continue walking until you reach the Plaça Reial, then take Carrer de la Boqueria to your left. Continue straight until you reach the end of the street, where you will find Plaça de la Mercè.

You can take Bus number 120 from Plaça de Catalunya. Board the bus and ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop 'Mercè'. It’s a short ride, and once you get off, you will see the square directly in front of you.

Walking
If you are near the Gothic Quarter, you can walk to Plaça de la Mercè. Start from the Cathedral of Barcelona (Catedral de Barcelona), head southwest on Carrer del Bisbe, then take a left onto Carrer de la Mercè. Continue straight until you reach the square. The walk is about 10 minutes and will take you through some beautiful, narrow streets.

Take Tram T3 from the 'Sant Adrià' stop towards 'Trinitat Nova'. Get off at 'Poblenou' stop and transfer to Metro Line 4 (Yellow Line) in the direction of 'Trinitat Nova'. Get off at the 'Jaume I' stop, and from there it’s a short walk to Plaça de la Mercè. Head southeast on Carrer de la Princesa, then turn left onto Carrer de la Mercè.
