Walking
From the heart of Poble Sec, head towards Carrer de Blai and walk until you reach Avinguda del Paral·lel. Turn left onto Avinguda del Paral·lel and continue walking until you see the Funicular de Montjuïc station on your right. This is a scenic, uphill ride that will take you closer to the castle. The funicular runs frequently and costs around €3.00 for a single trip.

Funicular
Once you board the Funicular de Montjuïc, sit back and enjoy the views as you ascend Montjuïc hill. The ride lasts about 3 minutes. Upon arrival at the top, exit the funicular and follow the signs pointing towards Montjuïc Castle. The castle is about a 10-minute walk from the funicular station, and you will be greeted by beautiful gardens and scenic views along the way.

If you prefer to walk the entire way, you can walk directly from Poble Sec to Montjuïc Castle. Start at Carrer de Blai and head up Carrer de Nou de la Rambla until you reach the base of Montjuïc. Follow the pathway signs that lead to the castle. This route takes approximately 30-40 minutes and is moderately steep, but you will be rewarded with stunning views of the city as you ascend.
