Car
If you are driving, begin your journey from Bilbao. Head towards the A-8 motorway and take the exit towards Mungia (exit 20). Continue on the BI-631 road towards Mungia. Once in Mungia, navigate to Ibarra Kalea. The Cascada del Río Butron is located near Ibarra Kalea, 3, 48100 Mungia. Parking is available nearby, but be mindful of any local parking regulations.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Bilbao, take the Bizkaibus line A3518 (direction Mungia). The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the Mungia bus station. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to Ibarra Kalea where the Cascada del Río Butron is located. Follow the signs towards the waterfall area, and be prepared for some light hiking.
Walking from Mungia
After arriving at Mungia by bus, exit the bus station and head east on Ibarra Kalea. Continue walking straight for about 1 km until you see signs pointing towards the Cascada del Río Butron. The path may involve some uneven terrain, so wear comfortable shoes suitable for walking.
