Guggenheim Museum Bilbao: A Masterpiece of Modern Art

Getting There

• Metro

  If you're near the Bilbao Abando train station, take Line 1 (the metro line that is marked with a green color) towards 'Etxebarri'. Get off at the 'Abando' station, which is just one stop away. Once you exit the station, head towards 'Abandoibarra Etorb.' and walk for about 10 minutes towards the river. The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao will be on your left.

• Bus

  You can take Bus Line 75, which you can catch from various points in the city. Look for a bus stop that has the sign for Line 75. When you board, ask the driver to inform you when you reach 'Guggenheim', or check the route map on the bus. The museum is located at 'Abandoibarra Etorb., 2'.

• Walking

  If you are staying in the city center, it's a pleasant walk to the Guggenheim Museum. Start from Plaza Moyúa, head towards Gran Vía, and then make your way to the riverfront, following the path along the 'Ría de Bilbao'. Continue walking along the river until you see the museum's distinct architecture on your left at 'Abandoibarra Etorb., 2'. The walk should take around 20-30 minutes.

• Tram

  You can also take the Tram Line that runs along the river. Board the tram at any stop along the route towards 'Dona Casilda', and get off at the 'Guggenheim' stop. The museum is right across the street from the tram stop, just a short walk away.
