Walking
From the heart of Casco Viejo, head towards Plaza Nueva. Once there, exit the square and take a left onto Calle de las Huertas. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Calle Ronda. Turn right onto Calle Ronda and walk until you reach the roundabout. Here, take the second exit onto Calle de la Ribera. Continue straight until you see the bridge, Puente de la Merced. Cross the bridge, and once you’re on the other side, you should see Txakurraren iturria a short walk ahead on Txakur Kalea.

Public Transport (Metro)
If you prefer using public transport, start by walking to the nearest metro station, which is Abando. You can take Line 1 (the Biscay line). Get off at the next stop, which is 'San Mames'. From there, transfer to Line 2 (the Red line) and head towards 'Basozelai', getting off at the 'Bolueta' stop. From Bolueta, it is about a 15-minute walk to Txakurraren iturria. Exit the station and head down Calle Bolueta, then take a left onto Txakur Kalea.

Another option is to take the bus. Look for the nearest bus stop in Casco Viejo and catch bus number 58 or 77. After a short ride, disembark at the 'Ibaiondo' stop. From there, it's a 5-minute walk to Txakurraren iturria. Head straight down the street and turn left onto Txakur Kalea, where you will find the fountain.
