Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from the Bilbao Cathedral, exit the cathedral and head south towards Calle de la Ribera. Turn right onto Calle de la Ribera and follow it until you reach the Mercado de la Ribera. Continue along the riverbank, passing the market. As you approach the pedestrian bridge called Puente de la Ribera, cross it. Once you cross the bridge, turn left and follow the river until you reach Plaza Nueva, which will be on your right.

  • Metro

    From the Abando metro station, take Line 1 (the Green Line) towards Etxebarri. Get off at the next station, which is Casco Viejo. Exit the station and walk straight onto Calle de las Viejas. Continue straight until you reach Plaza Nueva, which is just a short walk from the metro station.

  • Bus

    If you're near the Plaza Moyúa, you can take bus line 56. Board the bus and get off at the stop called 'Calle de la Ribera'. From there, walk towards the river and head south until you see Plaza Nueva on your left, just a few minutes away.
