Guggenheim Museum Bilbao: A Modern Marvel of Art and Architecture

Getting There

• Walking

  If you're starting your journey from the Gran Via de Don Diego López de Haro, head towards the riverside. Walk down the street until you reach the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum, which is on your left. Continue walking along the river, following the path until you see the iconic Guggenheim Museum Bilbao on your right. The walk should take about 15-20 minutes and offers beautiful views of the river and the city.

• Metro

  If you're near the Bilbao Metro, take Line 1 (the light blue line) towards Plentzia. Get off at the Abando station. Once you exit the station, head towards the river. Walk straight along the riverside until you reach the Guggenheim Museum, which is about a 10-minute walk from the station. Look for the large, modern structure on the riverbank.

• Bus

  You can take the bus lines 10, 11, or 75, which all have stops near the Guggenheim Museum. Board any of these buses at a nearby stop and alight at the 'Guggenheim' stop. The museum will be right in front of you. The bus journey typically takes around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.

• Tram

  If you're near the tram line, board the Tram from any stop along the route. Take it to the 'Guggenheim' stop. The tram is a convenient option and offers a picturesque view of the city as it passes by. The museum will be just a short walk from the tram stop.
