Getting There

  • On Foot

    If you are starting from the Burgos Cathedral, head southwest on Calle de la Paloma toward Plaza Mayor. When you reach Plaza Mayor, take Calle San Juan and continue until you reach the intersection with Calle de la Merced. Turn left onto Calle de la Merced and follow it until you reach the bridge over the Arlanzón River. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto Paseo del Espolón. Follow the riverbank until you see signs for Castillo de Burgos. The castle is located on the hill, and you can follow the path leading up to it.

  • Public Transport

    From Plaza de España, take bus number 5 or 7 towards 'Cerro de San Miguel' or 'Castillo'. The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Cerro de San Miguel' stop. From there, walk up the path that leads directly to Castillo de Burgos. The path is well-marked and will take you to the entrance of the castle.
