If you are traveling by car, start your journey in Cabo de Gata. Head southeast on the AL-5100 road. Continue straight for about 4.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with AL-3115. Turn left onto AL-3115 and follow it for approximately 3 kilometers. At the end of the road, you will find a small parking area near the entrance to Cala Carbón. Please note that parking is free, but it may fill up quickly during peak tourist season.

To reach Cala Carbón using public transportation, you will first need to take a bus from Cabo de Gata to San José. Look for the Alsa bus service that runs regularly between these two towns. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive in San José, you can either walk or take a taxi to Cala Carbón, which is around 5 kilometers away. Taxis are readily available at the bus station and cost approximately 10-15 euros for the trip to Cala Carbón.
