Walking
From the city center of Cádiz, head southwest towards the waterfront. You can start at 'Plaza de San Juan de Dios'. Walk towards 'Calle de la Paz' and follow it until you reach 'Calle San Juan de Dios'. Continue straight until you reach the 'Paseo de Canalejas'. From there, turn left onto the 'Paseo de la Alameda Apodaca' and follow it along the coast. After about 15-20 minutes of walking along the beautiful coastal promenade, you will see signs for 'Playa de la Hierbabuena'. The beach will be on your right.
Bus
If you prefer to take public transport, you can catch a bus from 'Plaza de España' (Bus stop: 'Plaza de España'). Look for buses heading towards 'San Fernando'. Bus number 1 or 5 are good options. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes. You will need to get off at the 'Playa de la Hierbabuena' stop. Once you get off, walk towards the beach which is just a short distance away.
Bicycle
You can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Cádiz. Start your ride from the city center and head towards the coast. Follow the cycle paths along the 'Paseo de Canalejas' and then onto 'Paseo de la Alameda Apodaca'. It’s approximately a 25-minute ride to 'Playa de la Hierbabuena'. Once you arrive, you can lock your bike at the designated bike parking area near the beach.
