Getting There

• Bus

  From Cádiz, head to the main bus station, Estación de Autobuses de Cádiz, located at Av. de la Bahía. You can take the bus Line 1 (Cádiz - Barbate) that departs frequently throughout the day. Ensure to check the bus schedule for the latest departure times. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Get off at the stop 'Caños de Meca'. From the bus stop, walk towards the coastline, and follow the signs leading to Trafalgar Lighthouse. It's about a 20-minute walk along the beach, where you will enjoy beautiful views.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Cádiz. Start your journey from the city center, cycling towards the coastal path that leads to the south. Follow the route along the beach, which is well-marked and scenic. You'll pass through the town of Conil de la Frontera before reaching Caños de Meca. From there, head towards the lighthouse, which is approximately 5 km away. The total cycling distance from Cádiz to Trafalgar Lighthouse is around 30 km, and it takes about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace.

• Walking

  For the adventurous, you can walk from Cádiz to Trafalgar Lighthouse, though it will require a full day. Start by walking along the waterfront promenade towards the town of La Victoria. Continue past La Caleta beach and follow the coastal path towards the south, passing through the towns of San Fernando and Chiclana de la Frontera. Eventually, you'll reach the area of Caños de Meca. The lighthouse is approximately 7 km from the center of Caños de Meca. This journey will take about 6-8 hours, so plan for plenty of breaks and carry water and snacks.
