Getting There

  • Walking

    From the central square of Plaza de San Juan de Dios, head southeast towards Calle Ciriaco. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle Ancha. Turn left onto Calle Ancha and follow it until you reach Plaza de la Catedral. From Plaza de la Catedral, head towards the ocean, taking Calle de la Catedral to the left. Continue until you see the beach, then turn right onto Paseo Marítimo. Walk along this promenade until you reach the Castillo de Santa Catalina, located at C. Campo de las Balas, s/n. The castle will be on your left, just past the Playa de la Caleta beach.

    If you are near the Mercado Central, exit the market onto Calle José del Toro. Walk straight until you hit the intersection with Calle San Francisco. Turn right and continue walking until you reach Plaza de la Catedral. From there, proceed towards the beach by taking Calle de la Catedral to the left. Walk along Paseo Marítimo, and the Castillo de Santa Catalina will be located on your left at C. Campo de las Balas, s/n, right after you pass the Playa de la Caleta.
