If you are traveling by car, start from the capital of Cantabria, Santander. Take the A67 highway towards Torrelavega. After approximately 23 km, take the exit for the N-634 towards Cabezón de la Sal. Continue on the N-634 for about 23 km until you reach the junction for the CA-184. Take the CA-184 and follow the signs for Ruente. After approximately 7 km, you will arrive at Ruente. There are no tolls on this route.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, begin your journey at the Estación de Autobuses de Santander. Take a bus to Cabezón de la Sal, which is operated by the ALSA bus company. The journey takes about 40 minutes and should cost around €5. Once in Cabezón de la Sal, switch to a local bus heading to Ruente. The local bus service may have limited schedules, so be sure to check the timetable in advance. The ride from Cabezón de la Sal to Ruente takes about 15 minutes.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct option, consider taking a taxi from either Santander or Cabezón de la Sal. From Santander, the taxi fare to Ruente could range from €50 to €70, depending on traffic and the taxi company. From Cabezón de la Sal, the fare should be significantly lower, approximately €15 to €25. Ensure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
