Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards León city center. From the A-66 highway, take the exit towards León. Once in the city, follow signs for 'Centro' or 'San Marcos'. You will want to take Avenida de la Independencia and then turn onto Calle de San Marcos. Continue straight until you reach Plaza San Marcos, where the Convento de San Marcos is located at number 6. There is a parking area nearby, but note that parking may incur costs, typically around 1-2 euros per hour.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can take a bus to León. The main bus station is located near the train station. From there, you can catch bus lines that go to the city center. The bus lines 1 and 2 will take you close to Plaza San Marcos. Get off at the 'San Marcos' stop. The convent is just a short walk from the stop, and you will see the historic building as you approach the plaza. A single bus ticket costs about 1.20 euros.

• Walking

  If you are already in the city center of León, the Convento de San Marcos is easily accessible by foot. Simply head towards Plaza San Marcos, which is about a 15-20 minute walk from the León Cathedral or the Plaza Mayor. Follow Calle de la Rúa towards the north, and then turn onto Calle de San Marcos. The convent will be visible as you approach the plaza.
