Getting There

• By Car

  If you are traveling by car, take the A-40 highway towards Cuenca. Follow the signs for Cuenca and exit onto the N-320. Continue on this road until you reach the city center. Once in the city, follow signs to 'Casas Colgadas' or 'Hanging Houses' as you approach C. Canónigos. Parking is limited in the old town, so look for public parking areas nearby, such as the parking lot at Plaza de España, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the Casas Colgadas.

• By Train

  If you are traveling by train, take a Renfe train to Cuenca from major cities like Madrid or Valencia. The Cuenca train station is about 2.5 km from the city center. From the train station, you can take a taxi or use local bus services (Bus line L1) to reach the historical center. Once in the city center, follow signs to 'Casas Colgadas', which is a short walk away.

• By Bus

  If you prefer to travel by bus, you can take a long-distance bus to Cuenca from various cities in Spain. The bus station is located close to the city center, approximately 1 km away. From the bus station, you can either walk or take a taxi to reach the Casas Colgadas. Walking will take about 15 minutes. Head towards the main road (Calle de la Cañada) and follow the signs to the historic area.

• Local Transportation

  Once in Cuenca, if you need to navigate the city, consider using local taxis or the public bus system, which is both affordable and efficient. Be aware that the historical part of Cuenca, where the Casas Colgadas are located, has narrow streets that may not accommodate larger vehicles.
